0 Comments Published by popelynne May 28th, 2008 in Images-still /Film-moving. by popelynneSydney Pollack was not only noble but large. The performances, the director, the husband, the family. Robert Pope was the designer that he worked with in New York. Pope and Associates Interior Space Planning and Design, Inc. is a Century City Design Firm seen on ActiveRain.com
Tip of all time is to buy or rent a treasure of a dvd- the Frank Gehry contribution to Architecture and film with Sydeny Pollack.
When we learn from blogs over Yahoo news that is a good thing. It’s proof of love. The editorial is usually neutral in emotion- sometimes a bias but still cold over warm. This blog has the warm respect for another life in just a few words.
The movie with Frank Gehry was a simple final complete gift. We have so many places to see the noble, the funny and the gifted film person on any side of the camera.
This is how a blog told me todays news…

“The Real Estate Show” comes to the Blog
0 Comments Published by popelynne May 7th, 2008 in Images-still /Film-moving. by popelynneInspiration comes in many packages. The Real Estate Show is what started me on the journey of Blogging. It is addictive to me now. I just don’t want to live without it.
My friends that don’t require birthday gifts.

So why use this step? It is the most logical way to show a moving story. It is simple and yummy. Interesting and well presented. It really makes one like them too.
Its easy utube, its local, and people like me, want to keep in touch.
What can we do better to feature our local area?
Thank you Ken Burns for the development in Cinematography. As a graduate of American Film Institute in Los Angeles California I learned to appreciate all advances in Cinema.
I went to www.Wikipedia.org to look up further details. As always I was facinated with what Ken Burns inspiration came from.
This excerpt explains.
“Burns has credited documentary filmmaker Jerome Liebling for teaching him how still photographs could be incorporated into documentary films.[2] He has also cited the classic 1957 National Film Board of Canada documentary City of Gold, co-directed by Colin Low and Wolf Koenig, as a source of inspiration for this technique.[3][4][5] Winner of the Palme d’or at the Cannes Film Festival and nominated for an Academy Award,[6] City of Gold used animation camera techniques to slowly pan and zoom across archival footage of Canada’s Klondike Gold Rush.[7]
The British Broadcasting Corporation’s documentary series The Great War, first shown in 1964, used both extensively.[citation needed]”
Finally, I arrive full circle. Blogging is a circle. It draws a line from one dot to another until a circle closes up and
a communication is narrowed into a meeting. I guess why it became such a social network too.

1 Comment Published by popelynne April 12th, 2008 in Images-still /Film-moving. by popelynneThe first year celebration of Hermosa Beach Historical Society was 4/11/08.
Richard Koenig is the president. He should be for every reason imaginable including the heritage of his mother Maggie Koenig, (Hermosas oldest and youngest thinking resident.) Her husband built many of the historic structures in our City. Body Glove, Becker, Spyder and all the big surf name companies were on hand to celebrate.
Photographer and author Chris Miller was there, daughter of Warren Miller. And the wave of surfers from all generations were on hand to kick off the celebration and see the film shown in the Hermosa Civic Center.
My husband Bob Pope graduated from Mira Costa High school and surfed with the great ones. There we rubbed elbows with surfers of all ages, levels and had a great time.
The film is amazing and one everyone of us will buy when it is available. Its bound to be a new classic.
