The long days of sunlight give so much time to stroll to the beach after work- stop in a local place for food…Pedones pizza, or spaghetti, the bread is terrific too.
Mostly pizza was going home with locals but some who stayed on the patio had different things. My husband and I stopped to help a kid with his bike brake. It was sticking. Another older kid had been skateboarding and skinned his knees.
On the same street Catalina,is Redondo Brewing Company. I love their Raspberry salad. The service was great and the upstairs balcony is the best place to sit.
Tuesdays it’s Hennesseys to go for two for one burgers! Tons of locals on the Avenues walk over and eat on the patio with their families. I read the reviews on Yelp and disagree about the shepherds pie. The one in Hermosa Beach is great also with an upstairs patio with view over the ocean. It’s at the end of the walk street Pier. Both very different locations for beach locals but walk to the one nearest you and enjoy a burger.
