The Dogs & Cats have a Realtor now! Good News
2 Comments Published by popelynne March 6th, 2009 in Real Estate Information. by popelynneRemember my story about abandoned animals months back..in foreclosed homes. Banks may own the home but the Realtor is the actual personal connection to the property. Well somebody figured out that the Realtor needed to take responsibility for these animals. The new law is clear that they can find homes for them, feed them, and have them removed to a shelter. This is progress for the only one sometimes that has the key to get inside is the Realtor. My experience is that the people I have met that are involved and the agents I know always have a huge desire to help our furry friends. Actually it doesn’t stop at dogs and cats…it includes whatever pet…is left behind. Petco continues to have a wonderful service in providing weekend adoptions. I just heard of a kitten adopted from there. He is a cute white ball of energy and has the new name TANK! His new home is in Redondo Beach. His new owners are newlyweds and the home has an established cat who has already accepted, TANK.
DOGs and CATs FORCLOSED
1 Comment Published by popelynne October 25th, 2008 in Uncategorized. by popelynneI was in the Hermosa Beach Animal Hospital yesterday. Hot spots, allergy, new flea resistant issues. It was just a simple visit to get some clarity for our dogs. I got more clarity than I dreamed. Katrina Dogs I know were adopted in LA. I was so glad people who could do something went into action. This is a defining moment for readers…get ready.
I met “CHANCE” of last chance. This beautiful black standard poodle was a rescue from Arizona. The new owner “Local” is one of those amazing people that don’t murmer and complain about the tragedy of our economy. She is actively finding the animals and getting them placed, rescued, helped in whatever way she can. She was close to tears as she told me the true story of the plight of animals due to FORCLOSURE. People leave their pets.
I can’t find more words to imagine the sorrow of a family losing their home. The wordless, pets left. What can we do? GRASSROOTS ACTION. Tell everyone you know SHOUT IT OUT for these animals. If you are in RIVERSIDE, TEMECULA, anywhere there is a forclosure get to that house and knock on the door, listen for sounds of a pet. The Banks have to many to go to the houses, The Bank Owned realtors have to many houses to go -like 200-400 properties. Tell this story. Get the news out there and be the voice for the pets. It is unthinkable. We can get into action. Call, write, get the word out there.

Don’t feel skunked if an REO or Short Sale is right on your street….but if you are trying to sell your house…you certainly will feel it. It’s just a fact of the times. Be brave.
Thank goodness for the machine turning into loans for people http://www.hud.gov/
Check out the “hope for homeowners fact sheet“! Most important- people want to know some options. Things are changing pretty fast…here is a quote from the article…
“The President has signed into law the Hope for Homeowners program. This program will continue FHA’s existing and successful efforts to provide aid to struggling families trapped in mortgages they currently cannot afford. Certain borrowers facing difficulty with their mortgage will be eligible to refinance into FHA-insured mortgages they can afford.

read articles HUD Secretary: FHA has helped 300,000 families find relief with government-backed mortgages
Having helped a seller with a short sale gave me in the line of fire experience with the ups and downs of working with sellers( the bank) that never sold before…
It had a good final result and it sold- we had 4 escrows and 1 finally closed. The difficult part was “Realtor-Agents” trying to do both and not being super great at either. It took a lot of hand holding with escrow, and patience.
All I can say is thank goodness lenders didn’t get to cut out the middle man…..woman REALTORS! We are really like teachers….helping families get moving into a home. It takes education, preparation and hand holding.
For now the G0v is trying to hold out a hand….it has to. Lets hold our hands together.
FHA is a dragon waking up
3 Comments Published by popelynne April 3rd, 2008 in Loans/Finance. by popelynneWake up America, Your country is shaking as the dragon of the FHA awakens and stretches. Lenders that did them years ago are coming back into the sunlight of
day and this is after the other Realtors from the 1990`s are selling foreclosures in droves. Some agents say Hey, let me into that market! You have to be kidding the other agents say back. I paid dearly for this place. I gave up family time, life energy and everything else as I ran with the tail of a tornado. Its a new day and FHA is the lender of the hour with a 3% down no nonsense loan. 15 year or 30 years and that is the top lending deal for 2008. The new price point is 729,750. in Los Angeles. So you can actually buy a home, That is if you have a job and pay stubs and money for gas for your car. Don’t give sour grapes to the dragon, this may be the sweet sleepy just woke up time that the dragon is nice.
